In order to make art you need to find out what art is to you.
Eventually you find something you find beautiful/intriguing/etc. that inspires you but I wonder, does one make art for themselves or for others? It's true that most of the time we want people to like our art and comment on it but why? Is it going to change the way you make your art? Is it going to change your opinion of your own art?
Why should it even matter what others think. Making art for the general public does require the opinion of the public, they don't want to see things that don't fit in the general perspective of art but can you really call that true art?
